HINGES BROAD BUTT

Broad Butt hinges are used when standard size hinges are unable to swing the door leaf clear of an obtrusion such as thick architraves , brickwork or when the door frame is set back from the exterior cladding.

Please note that the knuckle of the hinge does not always need to project past the obtrusion for the door to swing clear as the door leaf is fixed at the end of the hinge leaf.

These hinges have a uniform drilling pattern which allows doors and frames to be predrilled.
